The lodge project started in 1999 when it became apparent that there was no lodge designed for bird-watchers on the western slope of the Ecuadorian Andes.
Built on the forest edge and after a planting of over 30,000 trees, the forest has expanded and allowed for a better appreciation of the many species of bird.

The rooms are near to the main lounge so there is no need for a hike between where you sleep and where you relax and eat. Rooms all have hot water, electricity, and private bathroom.
